Air does all the work in a fluid bed. Here it rises through a specially designed perforated sheet at a velocity set just high enough to lift the particles and keep them moving, so the full surface of every particle meets the hot inlet air. Moisture evaporates, the solids dry uniformly, and fines agglomerate into larger granules.
The design controls the variables that decide the result: bowl volume, air velocity and direction, inlet-air temperature through the fluidisation, retarding and expansion chambers, the perforation pitch of the container plate, sealing of the fluidisation space, filter material, and electro-pneumatic process controls. Heating is electric to a maximum of 80 °C, the blower is 5 HP, air filtration is single stage, and discharge is from the top.
PLC controls with an HMI touch screen keep batch records consistent every batch, and an inbuilt CIP system cleans the equipment between batches to prevent carry-over contamination. Contact parts are SS316. Send an enquiry for this electric heating fluid bed dryer in SS316.
