Minimum manual handling of the liquid is the design brief, and the layout follows it. Sugar syrup is prepared in its own vessel, passes through an online prefilter, and moves by vacuum transfer to the manufacturing vessel; a filter press or inline homogeniser, product piping, a storage vessel and control panels complete the line.
The plant suits syrups, oral suspensions, solutions, drops, emulsions, mixtures, linctus and elixirs. Current and product temperature are displayed digitally on the electrical control panel, and the mechanical seal has a water-circulating system with a water-detection sensor that trips the motor if circulation to the seal is interrupted.
